MarQuetta A. Clayton is an Oklahoma City native relocated to DFW metroplex in grade school. She attended THE University of Oklahoma where she received her Bachelor of Art in Mathematics, Boomer Sooner! MarQuetta worked as a senior pension analyst before she decided to go to law school. She received her juris doctorate degree from Texas A&M University School of Law. Ms. Clayton worked as an Assistant County Attorney in Hood County, Texas prior to opening her own firm. Ms. Clayton is a misdemeanor and felony trial attorney and believes trials are necessary when the offered disposition is not fair. She has received the Community Impact Award from Texas A&M University School of Law, been named Top Attorney by Fort Worth Magazine, and has been admitted to the Texas Bar College.
Ms. Clayton also contributes to her community through her founded nonprofit, Girl2Girl Foundation, where she serves as the Executive Director. She is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated Xi Theta Omega chapter in Arlington, TX where she has previously served as the Treasurer. She’s also served on the board of the L. Clifford Davis Legal Association in Tarrant County where she currently serves as the Expunction Clinic Chair. Ms. Clayton organized the Tarrant County Lawyers Against Injustice who provided pro bono services to a number of protestors who were unlawfully arrested. She also awards various scholarships and remains active in other community engaged organizations in and around the DFW metroplex.
Ms. Clayton has a strong desire to help others including her clients. When her clients are faced with tough and terrifying decisions, Ms. Clayton is able to ease the navigation of those decisions. Ms. Clayton is client driven, settles for nothing less than fair results, and very professional.
